Below is a list of prayer requests that we would particularly value your prayer on. Last year people blogged their prayers/ thoughts/ a song/ a drawing/ words of encouragement... this was amazing, it was so encouraging to us to hear what you were all doing within your time of prayer, we are seeking God's guidance and wisdom so we would love to hear any feedback you have from your time of prayer. Please check out the link : how to post, so that you can share on here, or failing that, drop us an e-mail at raisinghopefoundation@gmail.com and we can share it for you (or keep it private if that's what you'd prefer!!)
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- We want to firstly Thank God for all he has done. In the last 5 years we have raised very close to £100,000. We thank him for a successful Summer visit last year, we thank him that our building now has windows, electricity, guttering, doors and is plastered. We thank him for the fundraising done since then, the link with St Marks school - the incredible amount the children there raised over Easter. We thank him for the life of Sister Kat and for the generosity of those whose lives she touched in her memory, we thank him again that we were blessed to have her volunteer with us, and pray that her infectious smile would live on in us as we continue the work. We want to thank him for his provision, his blessing and his guidance thus far, without God this project would not be what it is.
- Please pray for the orphaned children in Ghana, children in poverty, those who are sent to work, those who have been trafficked. Pray for the organisations on the ground in Ghana working with those children (particularly the Living Faith Foundation), pray that God would bless their work, that he would comfort those children, that he would bless them with education, food, shelter, good health and love.
- Please pray specifically for the children of Santrokofi and Sogakope that RHF work with. For good health, access to education (particularly in Santrokofi that the schools would run uninterrupted), water, food, that they would be loved and that they would have a real sense of Gods love and presence in their lives.
- Please pray for the Arctic to Africa cyclists. 6 of us set of a week today (wednesday 29th) to Nordkapp - at the very top of Norway. Pray for our safety - at times we will be cycling on busy roads - please pray that God would watch over us, that our bikes would have no faults, that none of us will get sick, that we won't get lost, that God would provide people to help us on our journey and that he would bless the heart with which we go out and do it, blessing our fundraising for Santrokofi.
- Please pray for the developing situation between Christians and Muslims in Western Africa - that the problems facing Nigeria will not spread to Ghana - pray for peaceful relations between the Christians and the Muslims, opportunities to witness, wisdom to those governing the countries.
- Please pray for the relationships between the organisations involved in this project - RHF, LFF, the builders, the rulers of Santrokofi. We need Gods guidance, as cultures differ and communication isn't straightforward. Please pray that God will grant all sides trust, patience and wisdom and that we can move towards a place of harmony with God at the very centre.
- Please pray for our scholarship students - many of whom are sitting their final year exams. Pray for the development of this scheme and the provision of funds for it.
- Please pray for the building work we hope to commence this summer - that the right people would be employed for the work, it would be done at a fair price and to a high standard. That the home would be opened at the right time, and with the right people and structure in place.
- Please pray for the Summer Trip this year, we have 25 people signed up so far and it promises to be an amazing trip. Pray for safety in travel, provision of funds, and that God would work in the lives of all the volunteers who come to Ghana this summer.
- Please pray for all our summer fundraising events - the skydive, the three peaks and various parties being organised/ other sporting events!
